Wanted: Short works on giving a shit

William Street Letterpress (Alberta) invites entries for broadside letterpress project, on GIVING A SHIT. Seeking poems, prose, and other brief statements (50 words max, 20 lines max) on giving a shit — on the value of making things, making community, stopping to care, growing vegetables, why art matters, what have you. Authors whose work is included will receive 10 copies of their broadside, plus one complete set of all the selections. Wanted: Slightly-left-of-reality prose

New online journal Skewed Lit seeks writing about things that are skewed, that live somewhere slightly left of reality. All prose under 1,500 words will be considered for publication. The 1,500 words could comprise one story, three, seven, etc. Formal experimentation welcome. Publishes every other week. Deadline: Rolling.

The Quill Magazine (Canada) invites entries for their debut issue (launching end of January). Accepts all forms of prose, poetry, and script from new writers only. Length: 20,000 words max — prefers work under 10,000 words. No blood, sex, violence, gore, or drug use that doesn’t directly drive the story. Deadline: Ongoing.
