3Elements Literary Review (US) is seeking fiction, nonfiction, poetry, art, and photography submissions for its July issue. 3ER is a themed literary journal, where each quarter three elements/words are released that must be incorporated in your story or poem. The Masters Review is accepting submissions from students in graduate-level creative writing programs. MFA, MA, and PhD students invited to submit up to 7000 words of fiction or narrative nonfiction. Chosen work will be printed for national distribution in The Masters Review’s third volume, available in October 2014. Deadline: March 31, 2014.

Short stories must be unpublished and fit Margery’s definition of a mystery: “The Mystery remains box-shaped, at once a prison and a refuge. Its four walls are, roughly, a Crime, a Mystery, an Enquiry and a Conclusion with an Element of Satisfaction in it.” Prize: £1,000. Length: 3500 words max. Deadline: 4pm GMT March 16, 2014.
