Contest open to young writers in Nova Scotia
The Office of African Nova Scotian Affairs is hosting a contest for young writers aged 13-22 in celebration of 2011 as the International Year for People of African Descent. Submit short fiction (max 2500 words) or poetry (max 1500 words). Open to Nova Scotians of all backgrounds, but entries must express a connection to the culture, heritage, and/or experiences of people of African descent. Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $150.
