Travel writing contest for Albertans under 30

The Writers Guild of Alberta invites entries for the first annual Amber Bowerman Memorial Travel Writing Award. This award will recognize a writer, age 30 or younger, with an extraordinary non-fiction story to tell about how their life was changed by what they experienced when they travelled outside of North America. Grand prize: $500. Entrants must be 30 years old or younger have resided in Alberta for a minimum of 12 of the past 18 months. Length: 2000 words max. Deadline: December 31, 2008. More details...
